Recently, the 54th Annual Birmingham Addy Awards were given out to the best marketing/advertising pieces for 2011.  Last year, with all of ya’lls help, we were awarded a “People’s Choice” Award for “Best New Logo” based on receiving the largest percentage of online votes. This year, our Department developed a little video, with the help of Big Communications, which we were pretty proud of.  So, we had it submitted to see how it stacked up.

We were extremely excited, and completely surprised, to learn that our video was awarded the Gold Addy for “Best Sales Video”. Winning a Gold Addy, which is awarded by a guest panel of National Marketing Executives, means that our little video will now move on to compete at the Regional level against submissions from across the Southeast.  A win there puts it in the National Competition, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

“hits’ and “likes” will validate it in the eyes of the Regional committee when competing with the larger campaigns out of Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, etc.
